RTI (Amendment) Act	2019	This amendment gave the Central Government power to determine the tenure, salary, allowances, and other terms of service of the Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioners through rules, replacing the fixed terms specified in the original Act.	The amendment has been criticized for potentially compromising the independence of Information Commissioners by making them dependent on the government they oversee. It removed the equivalence with Election Commissioners and has been challenged in courts as violating the RTI Act's basic structure.
