The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, commonly known as the Quad, is a strategic partnership between four major democratic nations: India, the United States, Japan, and Australia. Think of it as a diplomatic club where these four countries regularly meet to discuss and coordinate on issues that affect the Indo-Pacific region - the vast ocean area stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
The Quad is not a military alliance like NATO, but rather a platform for dialogue and cooperation on various challenges.
