No formal amendments to UNSC composition since 1963	1963	The only successful amendment to Security Council composition occurred in 1963 when membership was expanded from 11 to 15 members, increasing non-permanent seats from 6 to 10. This amendment came into force in 1965 after ratification by required majorities including all P5 members.	This expansion improved regional representation and set a precedent for UNSC reform, though it maintained the P5's exclusive permanent membership and veto power. The amendment demonstrated that UNSC reform is possible but requires extraordinary consensus, as no further compositional changes have occurred despite 60 years of subsequent discussions.
