To excel in Impulse and Momentum questions for NEET, a multi-pronged strategy is essential. Firstly, master the definitions and formulas: clearly understand p=mvp=mv, I=FavgΔtI=F_{avg}\Delta t, and I=ΔpI=\Delta p.

Pay close attention to the vector nature of momentum and impulse; direction is paramount, especially in collision and rebound problems. For numerical problems, always convert units to SI (e.g., grams to kilograms) before calculation.

When tackling collision problems, identify the type of collision (elastic, inelastic, perfectly inelastic) to determine if kinetic energy is also conserved, in addition to momentum. For conservation of momentum problems, clearly define your 'system' and ensure it's isolated (net external force is zero).

For graphical problems (F-t graphs), remember that the area under the curve represents impulse, and thus change in momentum. Practice problems involving varying forces using integration. Finally, be wary of trap options that might confuse momentum with kinetic energy or misapply conservation laws.

Always double-check your calculations and the direction of vectors.
